ECLAC Latin America projected to end the year with a rise of 4.4% of GDP, with highlights increases in countries such as South America.These are the countries culminating the year with the highest economic growth in the region as reported by the Economic Commission for Latin America and the Caribbean (ECLAC) in its "Preliminary".
1 .- Panama. tops the list with an estimated growth of 10.5% compared to 2010 due to "numerous public infrastructure projects as the expansion of the Panama Canal, cleaning up the bay, the subway in the capital , among others. "
2 .- Argentina. The southern economy closed with a rise of 9%, according to ECLAC, on the grounds that "in 2011 remained a number of expansionary policies used to address the effects of international crisis."
3 .- Ecuador. Notable among the South Americans an 8% increase in its economy, stronger than the 3.6% in 2010, "driven by domestic demand, whose main engine is strong public spending."
4 .- Peru. The so-called "Peruvian miracle" continues to take shape and in 2011 its economy is expected to close with a 7% increase, moved "both domestic demand, particularly private consumption and investment, and the external in the context of a change of government. "
5 .- Chile. In spite of the protests and the aftermath of the earthquake of 2010, the Chilean economy will grow 6.3% this year, which led to a decline in unemployment rates and keep inflation at levels expected by monetary authorities.
